Powerpacks
The powerpack is the source that provides energy to rotate the oil skimmer discs for oil recovery and also the oil transfer pump. The powerpack is generally fitted with local controls and safety systems for placement within hazardous area. The system can also be connected to control systems. The powerpack can be fitted with a hazardous area control box that houses the skimmer controls, starter and alarms. Power generation options include:
• Electrohydraulic, pneumatic and diesel
• Intrinsically safe local control with remote override options
